DOC'S PAPERBACK CLASSIC'S #12

Cheap 'n' cheesy s&m except that this novel is the work of Edward D. Wood Jr – that’s right, that Ed Wood, the angora loving director of Glen or Glenda, Plan 9 From Outer Space, and Bride of the Monster. The truth is that Wood churned out paperback-pulp sleaze fiction to subsidize his adventures in movie making, and his output was prodigious. (I suppose there are worse fates. Johnny Depp did play him in the movie.) -- contributed by peromyscus

Would you believe it, those bastards at Amazon don't have Black Lace Drag. How the hell can they call themselves a bookshop when they don't stock the classics.

On a brighter note, Bliar is finally goint to pack his bags and fuck off, not however, before reorganising the civil service and creating what is ominously known as 'The Ministry of Justice', which sounds the sort of place that Wiston Smith would have felt at home.

Bearing in mind that the UK now has one CCTV camera for every 14 people, and on average we get caught on a camera about 300 time a day makes you realise that Orwell was just a few years out (of course his real name was Blair as well!!!!).

However, the govt assures us it's all for our own protection, and if you have got nothing to hide then you have nothing to worry about.

When did having something to hide suddenly become a fucking crime, maybe I have got things I want to hide. Shit, although it may not be illegal, dressing in a viking helmet, bra and miniskirt, tying yellow a ribbon round my testicles and masturbating to songs by the Partridge Family is not exactly the sort of things I really want other people to know about.

Fuck, you won't tell anybody will you ?

ps - Gutted about Bo Diddly, he was due to tour the UK next month, and I was really looking forward to it. Get well soon Bo.

Sorry, that should read "Where the fuck have you been". The cognac is taking its toll. (Or maybe "frack" if we're talking Battlestar Galactica.)

Yes, we're living in the age of self-aggrandisement, where too many people think that the rest of us want to know stuff about them.

No we're not. We're defending a position of artists with unfettered self expression and audiences with infinite choice.

Maybe anon's hostility covers a deep need for acceptance.

Well said lefty, precise and to the fucking point.

The only problem with posting the video on YouTube would be the financial effect it may have on the collection plate next evensong, somehow I don't think the congregation would approve.

Pass the communion wine my child.
