I believe the first time I came across the name Mick Farren, it was in connection with a festival called Phun City. Phun City was a rumor in the US underground press, but I took it as a good sign. I was a teenager. My friends and I called ourselves 'freaks' to differentiate ourselves from hippies, who were older. Hippies were always eating brown rice, smoking pot and listening to folk music. We liked fried food, beer n' acid, the MC5 and soul music. The Phun City crowd sounded like our kind of people.

No shit, the WV is nocry.

it was so rockin' good, a truly transcendent cultural event, and yes everybody was really high.

I was there but I don't remember any Swizzpricks. Mind you I don't remember lots of things.

If I remember rightly, the Swizzprocks failed to inflate.
